The questionnaire measures the tendency towards complacency in specific areas. Hormuth and Lalli divide the construct into the six dimensions "global", "family", "social", "work (or study)", "object" and "partner". The questionnaire is available in a version for adults in general and in a version for students. It can be used either in a written-personal, written-postal or telephone form.
