AB - The GQ-5-G is the German adaptation of the Gratitude Questionnaire-Six Item Form %28GQ-6%29. This measurement was originally developed by McCullough et al. %282002%29. The scale measures the emotional component of gratitude. Like some versions in other languages %28e.g.%2C Bernab%C3%A9-Valero et al.%2C 2014%3B Chen et al.%2C 2008%3B Langer et al.%2C 2016%29%2C the GQ-5-G consists of only five items that are averaged to a mean score. The validation was conducted via an online survey with a sample of N %3D 508 participants. The GQ-5-G has good internal consistency and both construct and criterion validity are established. In addition%2C there is cultural scalar invariance with the English version %28Morgan et al.%2C 2017%29. GQ-5-G is scalar invariant across gender.
