AB - The "short
scale of political cynicism" (KPZ) presented below was developed and used
in the Austrian National Election Study (AUTNES) for general population samples
(electorate). The aim of the scale was an economic assessment of
"political cynicism", defined here as general scepticism or distrust
of political authorities or incumbents. Detailed information on the theoretical
embedding and quality of the scale can be found in the following sections.
