With four items, this scale records the specific problem perception (traffic), which corresponds to the affective and cognitive evaluation of the environmental impact of car traffic. It should activate the personal (ecological) norm with the other cognitive variables of the modified norm activation model. The development of the scale is based on the works of Schwartz (1977, 1981).
