AB - The items documented here capture ambivalent sexist attitudes towards men from the two areas of hostility and benevolence. These two areas are further subdivided into three components: paternalism/maternalism, gender differentiation and heterosexuality. They thus operationalize the construct of ambivalent sexism, according to which sexist attitudes as positive evaluations (feelings of closeness, security, affection, security) as well as negative evaluations (hostility, perception of dominance, oppression, dependence) are connected and simultaneously exist side by side.
