AB - Collective Orientation (CO) is an individual attitude that describes the propensity of each member of a team to work cooperatively and goal-oriented in team situations. In the following, I present an instrument for measuring CO for the German-speaking countries. The reliability and validity of the scale was confirmed. In future research the instrument can be applied to diagnose teamwork deficiencies and to evaluate interventions regarding the development of team member's collective orientation. The instrument also predicts team performance in terms of interdependent teamwork.
