AB - The Feedback%0AInstrument for Rescue Force Development %28FIRE%29 measures the quality of the%0Atraining of rescue forces. The instrument is based on qualitative analyses of%0Acharacteristics of good training in the field of rescue. The items compiled on%0Athe basis of these characteristics were tested for relevance and%0Acomprehensibility in two studies at the Institute of the North Rhine-Westphalia%0AFire Brigade %28IdF NRW%29. With the help of an explorative factor analysis the%0Ainstrument could be reduced to 21 items and the factors lecturer behaviour%2C%0Arequirement level%2C structure and group at the level of learning processes as%0Awell as the factors acquisition of competence and transfer at the level of learning%0Aoutcomes could be identified. The instrument was validated with the help of%0Acourse participants at the IdF NRW. A confirmatory factor analysis was able to%0Aconfirm the factor structure%3B the scales show an acceptable to good internal%0Aconsistency and there are clear indications of construct and criterion%0Avalidity.
