AB - The <i>Information Elaboration Survey (FIT) </i>measures the collective perception in a team that all members share, discuss and integrate their specific knowledge with the aim of developing new ideas and solutions. The FIT is based on major insights from international team research and identifies five process steps capturing the wholistic elaboration and integration of diverse knowledge. The quality of information elaboration is a major predictor of various criteria of team effectiveness. The survey shows very good psychometric properties. Substantial correlations with other constructs point to its convergent and criterion validity.
