AB - %3Cp%3EThe aim was to develop a short questionnaire on personal nostalgia. We defined this as a complex affective state with predominantly positive valence%2C which is evoked by reflection on one%26rsquo%3Bs own remembered experiences and is associated with the personal past. Contrary to our expectations%2C this revealed the two-dimensionality of the construct. Thus%2C the nine final items were divided into two independent factors%3A Factor fMR1 with four items forming subscale A %28negative and painful emotions%29 and factor fMR2 with five items forming subscale B %28positive and grateful emotions%29. For both subscales simple sum values can be formed separately. Reliability for fMR1 was very good%2C for fMR2 it was improvable.
