AB - The BEFKI GC-K short scale is a freely available method for measuring crystalline intelligence (gc). The short scale comprises 12 items which, in accordance with the definitions of Cattell (1971) and Carroll (1993), record declarative knowledge from just as many areas of the natural sciences, humanities and social sciences. Thus, a broad spectrum of knowledge is taken into account within five minutes. Furthermore, the short scale shows good reliability and validity.
