AB - According to the "Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the American Psychiatric Association" (DSM IV, APA, 1994), pathological worry is a central cognitive accompanying syndrome of a generalized anxiety disorder. The Münster Worry Questionnaire (MFS) is intended to record this as homogeneously as possible and in contrast, for example, to the Penn State Worry Questionnaire with item formulations of the same polarity. In addition, the MFS allows not only personality-dependent (MSF trait) but also primarily situation-induced, time-limited worry processes (MSF state) with 12 items each to be surveyed.
