AB - <p>The Machiavellian scale measures whether the interviewee has the following prerequisites for the manipulation of his fellow human beings: a relative lack of feeling in interpersonal relationships, less attention to common moral concepts and little ideological commitment. The scale conservatism measures whether a more conservative view of man is represented. A conservative conception of man is characterized by belief in the necessity of hierarchy and authority, the unchangeability of evil human nature, and mistrust of reason.</p>
