AB - This publication proposes a%0Ameasuring instrument for the multidimensional recording of the tendency of dual%0Astudents to drop out of university. However%2C parts of this instrument can also%0Abe used for %26quot%3Btraditional%26quot%3B students. The basis was an instrument for%0Arecording the tendency of trainees to drop out %28Deuer%2C 2006%29. As part of the%0Aresearch project %26quot%3BCourse of studies - setting the course%2C success criteria%0Aand hurdles in the course of dual studies at the DHBW%26quot%3B%2C the instrument was%0Aadapted to dual students %28Deuer et al.%2C 2017%29. The test analysis is based on%0Afirst-year students who took part in the second panel wave %28March 2017%29 and has%0Aa sample size of N %3D 1429 dual students from the three study areas of social%0Awork%2C technology and economics at the Baden-W%C3%BCrttemberg Cooperative State%0AUniversity %28DHBW%29. The current version of the measuring instrument is based on%0A8 items. The explorative factor analysis shows a two-factor structure and was%0Aconfirmed by a confirmatory factor analysis. Overall%2C the subscales can show a%0Agood measurement accuracy. The verification of the prognostic validity is based%0Aon the actual drop-outs%2C on university administration data 22 months after the%0Adata collection %28January 2019%29%2C based on Receiver-Operating-Characteristic%0Acurves %28ROC curves%29%2C and shows acceptable values.%C2%A0
