AB - The inventory of ethnic and national (German) identities of persons with and without a migration background in Germany is a German-language adaptation of the revised version of the Multigroup Ethnic Identity Measure (MEIM-R) by Phinney and Ong (2007). In addition to recording the ethnic identity of adults with a migration background, an extension for measuring the national (German) identity of persons with and without a migration background was developed and validated. The inventory comprises four scales for measuring ethnic identity exploration and attachment (e-EID and b-EID) and national identity exploration and attachment (e-NID and b-NID). Confirmative factor analyses confirm the two-factor structure (exploration and attachment) for the measurement of ethnic as well as national (German) identity.
